Miniature golf is fun for all ages and there are numerous miniature golf locations in the Baltimore/DC area. Some have batting cages, arcades, unique holes and more. Check out the list below because YOU CAN NEVER HAVE 2 MUCH FUN.
Mitchell's Golf Complex: 3 golf courses, driving range, full golf courses (the mini golf courses could use come updating, but still a lot of fun)
Hereford Golf Center: 1 golf course with unique water features (when running), driving range (mini golf is a lot of fun, but can use some love)
Columbia Sports Park: 1 golf course, batting cages, arcade (golf course is long without to many obstacles, but fun)
Rocky Gorge Golf: 1 golf course with many obstacles and 1 huge hill at the end, batting cages, driving range, arcade (again the golf course is a lot of fun but can use some love)
The above courses are all outdoors, There are numerous indoor golf locations in the area including Monster Mini Golf, Player's Fun Zone, Glo Golf and more. There are too numerous to list. Do an internet search to find one in your area. They are all over the place.
If you like strawberries and live in Maryland act fast and go to your nearest pick your own fruit location. My family went to Butler’s Orchard in Germantown, MD today (about an hour from Baltimore). The strawberries are $2.99/lb and delicious, but the season only last 2-3 weeks.
Not only do they have strawberries, but they have a huge field full of slides, playgrounds, a nature trail, goats and more. The activities are more for 7 years old and younger. Don’t expect an older child to be too find a lot to do.
My family had a Certifikid deal that included four slushees. While there is a barn with snacks up in the field, the slushees were only down in the lower barn which requires a walk or a drive and a hope for parking. When we were there the slushees were just cold juice and had no slush. My guess is they were so busy they didn’t have time to slush, but disappointing nonthheless. Your mileage may vary.
The farm has other picking opportunities for other fruits and vegetables throughout the year. Check the website for details.
You do have to pay $3 person to get into the farm before picking and paying for fruit. Other farms like Larriland don’t charge admission. They don’t have the activities either, but if you just want to pick fruit this might not be the farm for you.
Slushees aside, you’ll have to decide if the admission is worth it for your family. You can always buy prepicked items in the store and skip the admission fee. Either way you can’t beat fruit picking and You Can Never Have 2 Much Fun!
